William R. Sohmer on April 16th 2024. A resident of Seaford, NY. Formally of Elmont, NY. Beloved husband of Lucille for over 63 years. Dedicated father of Janet, Billy, Diann and Steven (Colleen). Loving grandfather of Steven, Julia and Nicholas. Dear brother of Pauline Valentine. FDNY Fire fighter for over 30 years. William dedicated over 50 years to coaching Football. He will be deeply missed by many. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18th 1-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, April 19th 10:30 AM. at the St. James RC Church, Seaford, New York. Interment to follow Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery, Flushing, NY.
