William C. Padula, M.D. of Freeport, NY (formerly of Massapequa, NY) on September 4, 2024. Proud US Army Korean War Veteran. Medical Director at Brunswick House, an alcoholic rehabilitation center in Amityville, in addition to his private practice. He was a first generation Italian American and the youngest of 10 children. He had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and was a Renaissance man; he was a painter, a writer and a composer. His favorite quote was "it's never too late to plant a cherry tree." Beloved husband of Yolanda for over 70 years. Loving father of Laura Schofer (Andrew), Lisa Wenglicki, and Donna Cameron (John). Devoted Papa to Drew (Suzie), Morgan (Lorenz), Nicholas (Morgan), Johanna (Jimmy)and Marissa (Steven). He leaves behind 7 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Dr. Padula devoted his life to medicine and his family. Reposing Tuesday 4-8 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, NY (2 Traffic Lts. East of Rte. 135). Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 11:15 AM at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Massapequa. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
