ERB – Wilbur “Bill”, on September 12, 2016, of Seaford. Proud U.S. WWII Air Force Veteran. Active and devoted member for 60 years at St. William the Abbot Church and a participant in numerous ministries. Retired N.Y.P.D. Investigator. Former organizer and coach of Seaford Bronco’s Midget Football Team. Former organizer and former president of Seaford Booster Club. Former Seaford School Board President with a 67 year history as a football official (Pop Warner, President Catholic HS League, President of PSLA, L.I.A.F.O., Division One Eastern Association of Footballs EPIFO – college.) Beloved husband of the late Maureen O’Brien. Loving father of Patricia Ferrari (Raymond), Kenneth Erb (Grace), Terrence Erb (Catherine), Barbara Giardina (Philip), and the late William Erb. Cherished grandfather of Allison, Michael, Brienne, Daniel, Dylan, Cassandra, Kenneth, Philip, Kayla, Christopher, Lily and Ruby. Adored great grandfather to Nicholas, Olivia, Jack, Kaiden, Logan, Bowen, and Theodore. Reposing Thursday and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford (2 Traffic Lts. East of Rte. 135). Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 9:15 AM at St. William the Abbot RC Church. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.
