Thomas (Gaetano) Ferrante

  Tom Ferrante was born in Staten Island, NY; raised in Brooklyn, NY with 8 siblings. He served in the US Army. Married his childhood sweetheart and with her raised his family in Seaford, NY. Resided most recently in Greenwood Village in Manorville, NY.
  
  
  Survived by: his wife: Esther, his sisters: Josephine and Rosalie and his brother: Nick. His children: Michael (Ann Marie), Thomas (Carmela) and Maria (Jim). Blessed with a beautiful family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
  
  
  Tom enjoyed a long career beginning as a tractor trailer operator, then supervisor, driving instructor and ultimately Fleet Supervisor for ABC Sports. He was instrumental in the design and maintenance of ABC’s fleet of remote studio trailers. He arranged and oversaw the fleet which brought him to Sarajevo,Yugoslavia; Cuba and Lake Placid, NY for the televised Olympics, as well as many sporting events throughout the USA.
  
  
  Tom’s personal interests included piloting single engine airplanes, cooking, gardening, jazz music and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband and father, a friend to all, always willing to offer a helping hand. Kind, gentle, soft spoken, loving and loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
