It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Postiglione, a beloved mother, Nana, and great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and cherished friend. She departed peacefully on July 12, 2026, in Naples, Florida, at the age of 95.
Rose was a truly special woman whose caring nature, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family. She celebrated her 95th birthday earlier this year, surrounded by loving family who traveled from around the country, a testament to the deep bonds she cultivated throughout her life.
Born in Brooklyn, Rose spent her early years building a life filled with purpose and family dedication. She and her husband, Albert, raised their family of four in Elmont, where she became a beloved wife, mother, and family cornerstone. Her vibrant spirit, combined with her iconic sense of style.
A woman of remarkable vitality, she remained active and alert throughout her life, and was a constant source of inspiration to all who knew her. Her culinary talents, a labor of love, brought warmth and comfort to countless family gatherings. Her infectious smile, caring, and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored beyond words. Her pride and love for Billy, Jessica, Danielle, Anthony, Philip, Geena Rose, Alyssa, Ash, and Miles, Evan, Andrew, Ben, Luca, Olivia, Nate, Abby and Noa knew no bounds. She treasured every moment spent with them, watching them grow and flourish with pride and affection.
Rose leaves behind countless cherished memories, a legacy of love, and a heart full of kindness for her children, their spouses, and her beloved sister Milly. She is survived by her son Gerard (wife Li-fang), Rosemary (late husband Bill), Andrea (husband Joe), and Gina (husband Phil). She shared her life with grace and dignity, always putting others before herself. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of family and friendship.
She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Albert, at St. Charles Cemetery.
Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, and her memory will continue to inspire and comfort us. We are truly fortunate to have shared in her laughter and love for so many years
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude or tree plantings in her memory
Rest in peace, Dearest Mom, Nana, Rosie Mama. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19th, 2026 2-6 PM
Religious Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 4:45 PM.
Funeral will be on Monday, July 20th.
Procession to the cemetery will be leaving the funeral home at 10:30 AM
Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.
