Robert A. Sherman

Robert “Bob” Sherman, 88, was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many, passed away June 16, 2022 in his home in Winston-Salem, NC.

Bob was born to Eleanor and Edwin Sherman on January 12, 1934 and was joined 10 years later by his sister Dale. After serving in the US Army and starting his career as an artist Bob married Martha and they raised two daughters: Laura and Arlene. Bob is also survived by his two son-in-law’s Michael and Louis as well as four grandchildren Christina, Jessica, Louis and Douglas and eight great-grandchildren.

Bob had a wonderful sense of humor and a passion for writing jokes and drawing cartoons. He also enjoyed being part of the church community and especially enjoyed singing in the church choir.

A wake will be held at Charles Schmitt funeral home at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on June 22, 2022 on Merrick Rd. In Seaford. A small service will take place at the evening showing and entombment will be 11 am at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY.
