Rita Eckartt

During her incredible 83 years of life Rita was a beloved grandmother, mother, and wife.  She passed away peacefully on March 28th, 2022.  Rita was born in Astoria, NY on September 26, 1938.  She attended local schools P.S. 151, J.H.S. 10 and Bryant High School.

After graduating, Rita worked for a few companies until she found a permanent home at Tiffany & Co. where she enjoyed a gratifying 50-year association.

Rita now rests peacefully in the kingdom of heaven with her beloved husband Dave and her parents Antoinette and Alfred Boccia. She is survived by her loving children, daughter JoAnn (Schilk), son David, sister Marie and her adoring grandchildren Kathryn and Kelly.   She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and countless friends.  Rita touched the lives of everyone she met throughout her 83 years, and she will forever remain in our hearts. Reposing Friday, April 1st, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  Mass of Christian burial to be held Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, 9:30 AM @ St. Frances De Chantal RC Church, Wantagh.  Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
