Rita M. Cocuzzo

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Rita Cocuzzo, who was born on December 08, 1947, and passed away on October 20, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and strength.

Rita was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Cocuzzo, whom she married in 1968. Together, they built a loving family, raising their daughters Deborah (and her spouse, Eric) and Danielle (and her spouse, James). Though their daughter Donna passed away in 1971, she remained forever in their hearts. Rita was also a proud Nana to four grandchildren, Jessica, Alyssa, Nico, and Kodi, whom she adored.

Rita’s family was the center of her life, and her Catholic faith was a source of strength and comfort. She was loved by all who knew her and had a warmth that lit up every room she entered. Selfless and caring, Rita always put the needs of others before her own. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will be forever treasured by her family and the many lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 3-7 PM 

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 26th 10:30 AM 

St. James RC Church, Seaford, New York

Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
