Beloved husband of the late Patricia A. Loving father of Richard, Jr. (Mary), Deirdre (Tim), Tara (Patrick), and Sister Meghan McArdle. Dear brother of Sheila Byrons and the late James McArdle, Vincent McArdle, Joan McArdle and Mary Ruth. Cherished grandfather of Eamon (Angela), Caitlin (Logan), Jake, Sydney, Ethan, Molly and Liam and adored great grandfather of James, Aiden, AJ and Mike. Reposing Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, NY (2 Traffic Lights East of Rte. 135).  Lions Club Service will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 8 PM at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 1, 2024, 9:30 AM at St. William The Abbot R.C. Church, Seaford. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
