Raffaele A. Esposito, 90, of Seaford, NY, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 10, 2011. Born in Boscoreale, Italy and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Seaford for 56 years. As one of the original devoted parishioners of Maria Regina R.C. Church in Seaford, NY, he was actively involved in the founding of Maria Regina School and a member of the Holy Name Society. Raffaele proudly served his country as a Navy Seabee during World War II in the Philippines. For over 40 years, Raffaele worked alongside his brother John at John Esposito Memorial Company, in West Babylon, NY, where he created the designs for monuments, mausoleums and several war memorials including the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Eisenhower Park.
