Michael J. Downey

DOWNEY – Michael J., on August 15, 2024, of Massapequa. Executive Assistant for Sire Records, New York City.  He was a great DJ of the 1980’s music. Michael leaves behind his devoted partner, Fredric P. Gray, brothers and sisters, Edward, Jeannie, John (Beth), Ronnie, Laura, Maureen (Ken), Theresa (Carl) and Donald (Bernadette).  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Reposing Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, NY (2 Traffic Lts. East of Rte. 135).  Religious Service Mon.10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
