Marie Frances Norton

Marie Frances Norton (Woznick), 91, of Seaford, New York, wife

of the late Albert S. Norton, Jr., passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Born in Roosevelt, New York, she was the daughter of John Woznick and Wilhelmina Woznick (Moseman).  Marie was predeceased by her siblings, Virginia Williams, John Woznick, and Herbert Woznick.

Marie is survived by her children; Patricia Ann Norton White (Ron), Kenneth John Norton (Doreen), Susan Norton Meurer (William).  Her grandchildren; Heather Renee White Magnan (Chad), Melissa White Janiszewski (Luke), Julianne Norton Heffner (Kyle), Kenneth John Norton, Jr., Christine Meurer and William Meurer.  Her great-grandchildren; Willa Renee Magnan, Jett Luke Janiszewski, Jace Levi Janiszewski and Harrison Hayes Heffner.

Marie, married her sweetheart, Al, after a storybook romance between a high school cheerleader and the captain of the football team.  Marie worked at General Motors while waiting for her husband to return from the Navy. They raised their three children in Seaford and vacationed in Bloomville, Upstate New York.  In retirement Marie and Al enjoyed several cross-country road trips together, visiting their favorite football stadiums and historical sites. Marie had a great laugh that would light up a room.  She especially enjoyed her time with family.  We are thankful for the lifetime of memories, support and love.

The service for Marie is private at the gravesite at Calverton National Cemetery.
