The Margaret (Peg) Henggeler Memorial Scholarship
Peg Henggeler wasn’t just a teacher—she was a force of nature in the classroom. For over 40 years, she made learning an adventure, bringing
creativity, passion, and a whole lot of fun to her students. From preschoolers to sixth graders, from math lessons to school plays, Peg believed
that education wasn’t just about books and tests—it was about sparking curiosity, building      confidence, and making kids                               feel like they could take
on the world.
A proud graduate of Seaford High School, Peg’s roots in the Seaford school community ran deep. She wasn’t just an alum—she was a lifelong
Viking at heart. Her love for education started right in those very hallways, shaping the teacher she would become. And her connection to
Seaford didn’t end with her diploma—her own children, and now some of her grandchildren, have walked the same halls she once did. She
carried her love of teaching far and wide, leaving her mark in Pocono Elementary, Oceanside and beyond.
If you’d like to celebrate Peg’s incredible legacy and help inspire future educators, we invite you to contribute to The Margaret (Peg) Henggeler
Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship will go to a graduating Seaford High School senior who shares her passion for education. Whether
they dream of teaching little ones their ABCs or guiding high schoolers through Shakespeare, this scholarship is for someone who, like Peg, sees
teaching as more than just a job—it’s a calling, an art, and a way to change lives. Every contribution, big or small, helps carry forward her spirit,
creativity, and dedication to shaping young minds.
If you’d like to give, you can donate via Venmo at @ Deidre-Henggeler
For those who prefer to contribute in another way, please feel free to reach out to Peg’s family to learn more about how you can support this
special fund.
Thank you for helping us honor Peg’s memory in a way that keeps her love of teaching alive for generations to come.
