In Loving Memory of Lucia (Lucy) Roberti
With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Lucia (Lucy) Roberti, on March 8, 2025. Now at rest, she is reunited in eternal love with her husband, Eugene (Red) Roberti, and their sons, Kenneth and Roy. In passing, Lucy leaves behind her loving family to honor her memory: Gene, Brian, Pearl, Lynne, Miles, and Liz along with her cherished grandchildren (7) and great-grandchildren (4).
Lucy’s life is defined by her unwavering devotion to her family. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, friend, and neighbor, Lucy’s heart was like her home – open and welcoming. Her greatest joy came in the simple moments spent with her family and loved ones while gathered around the table playing games, and sharing stories, laughter, and good food. Lucy was the embodiment of grace and selflessness. By example, she taught her family the true meaning of love, faith, sacrifice, resilience, and how to live with a compassionate spirit and a generous heart.
As a woman with pure intent and remarkable service, Lucy gave more than thirty years of her life volunteering to the United Cerebral Palsy Association and the Seaford Thrift Shop, benefitting the Southeast Nassau Guidance Center. She also dedicated her talents to the Seaford School District touching the lives of countless students. During her tenure with the U.S. Department of Commerce she received the Bronze Medal awarded for Superior Federal Service presented to her in Washington, D.C..
Lucy will be missed beyond words. We take solace in knowing her love and legacy will continue to guide and inspire as her spirit surrounds us to offer strength, comfort, and an enduring reminder of what it means to love selflessly.
Our heartfelt thanks to Veronica, Enel, and Merla, the loving caregivers who provided such compassionate care for Lucy during her final years. Their kindness brought both Lucy and her family comfort and peace.
To celebrate and honor Lucy’s beautiful life, a wake will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025 at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, NY from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
