A loving tribute to my Mother and my Best Friend…
Loretta Zieminski was born in Manhattan. She married my father, Albert, and moved to Seaford in 1951. They were married for 71 happy years before he passed away 2 years ago. She was the most caring, loving and devoted mother who raised me and my two younger brothers, Stephen and Ken.
Stephen was born disabled and my mother responsibly and lovingly cared for him – and no one would have ever known she had a care in the world. At 96 years of age, she continued to visit Stephen every Sunday at his home, up until the time of her passing.
My younger brother, Ken, had passed away six months after my father in 2022. My mother always had a soft spot for Ken.
We were a close family and she made a loving home for all of us. Our happiness was most important to my mother. She was happiest when we were all happy. She was an emotionally strong and generous person. She always wanted the best for us and would do anything for us.
She was a great friend to everyone. She touched so many people. She was always smiling, cared about everyone, had a good sense of humor and brightened everyone’s life that came into contact with her.
My mother was my dearest and best friend and the perfect example of love and kindness. Her constant presence and warm smile made every moment special. We shared adventures, whether it was in person or over the phone, and we treasured our daily talks. I found comfort in her constant encouragement and sympathetic ear. She was not just a mother, but my inspiration. She was always loving and caring and I am grateful to have had her as long as I have during my lifetime. May she rest in peace. I miss you mom…..
Love,
Lorraine, and Stephen too!
