In Loving Memory of Kathleen Egan Wright
1942 - 2025
Kathy, 82, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to family. Born in Brooklyn, she faced life’s challenges with grace, always reminding us that “everything will work out.” Married to James Egan, she raised six children James Egan, Eileen Abatemarco (Michael), Diane Manusky (Frank), Kathleen Viscio (Joe), John Egan (Toni), and Thomas Egan. Kathy found her greatest joy in her 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Having found love & marriage again, after losing James at a young age she was wed to Danny Wright, whom she unfortunately lost as well. Her beloved siblings include James Southard, Carol Southard, Veronica Farrell, Patricia Forget, the late Diane Green & the late Margaret Southard.
Her love was expressed in the smallest of ways—underlined words in cards, selfless care, and her signature phrase, “Oh well,” a quiet reminder to let go and keep moving forward. She never asked for much, yet gave everything, always finding joy in the simple moments with family. And in her final days, though she may not have known their weight, she allowed herself to receive the same love she had spent a lifetime giving—overwhelmed by the care and devotion that surrounded her.
She would want to be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the belief that love can see us through anything.
