June N. Reinhardt

In Loving Memory of June C. Reinhardt. A long life came to an end on September 7, 2026, as June Claire (Norton) Reinhardt passed away peacefully at the age of 94. Born in Queens, New York on March 1, 1932,she was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Lotz) Norton, and grew up in Belle Harbor, New York. In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) M. Reinhardt, June 19, 1985. Her memory lives on with her children, Lauren Brigham of Mattituck, New York, Gregory Reinhardt of Belle Harbor, New York, Nancy and Michael Witkowski of Old Bridge, New Jersey and Valerie Reinhardt of Massapequa, NewYork as well as her Grandchildren Michele, Michael, MaryKate, John, Daniel, Annie and Megan and Great-Grandchildren Remy, Jack, Russell, and Maeve. She is also survived by her brother Warner (Grazia) Norton of East Rockaway and two nieces Lisa (Norton) and Bill Fotopoulos and Christine (Norton) and David Reardon. June graduated from Queens College, Queens, New York, at a time when only 5% of American women furthered their education beyond high school. After meeting her husband, Jack, they began a family in Hollis Queens and soon bought a home in Massapequa, where she lived for almost 68 years. She left her teaching career to raise her family. June took pride in her home as seen by her festive decorations for all the holidays and the many parties she held for friends and family through the years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, travel, history, genealogy,antiques and gave many lectures and discussions throughout her years in past guilds and clubs she belonged to.June was a very active woman in the community and Long Island. She was President of the PTA organizing the bicycle safety program for Massapequa schools as well as helping to organize the bottle bill and recycle program.She has been the President of the Jr. League, Garden Club and Women’s Club of Massapequa. She was President for the Long Island Federation of Women’s Clubs of all Long Island. She is a founding member of The Good Samaritan Hospital Guild with the Good Samaritan Foundation. She is very dedicated to her church and taught religious education for Eight years for her parish at St. Martins of Tours, in Amityville. June was an avid gardener, bridge player and member of the Unqua Corinthian Yacht Club.June later in life enjoyed meeting with her very best friends and having lunch and playing bridge. She cherished the moments, laughs and friendship of these wonderful ladies. June’s passing will surely be a loss to her family and the many friends she made along her life’s journey.
