Joyce Ellen Belgiorno

Joyce E. Belgiorno, age 77, of St. Augustine, Florida passed away peacefully on August 22, 2015 at the Bailey Family Center for Caring with her husband and family by her side. She was born and spent her early years in Queens, New York. As a young woman, Joyce worked for General Motors and left the workplace when she started her family. For much of her adult life, she was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. When her children grew older, she returned to work as a secretary for the General Services Department of Nassau County for 10 years. Joyce had been a seasonal resident of St. Augustine, Florida since 1987, and a permanent resident there since 2001.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Victor M. Belgiorno of St. Augustine; her son, Victor Belgiorno and his wife Dilenia of Seaford, N.Y.; her daughter, Anne Kleinfelder and her husband William of Massapequa, N.Y.; and grandchildren, William, Victor, Daniel, Thomas, Angelina, Giancarlo and Milo.

Reposing Thursday, August 27, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., Seaford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 28, at 9:45 a.m. at Maria Regina RC Church, Seaford. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
