Josephine T. True

TRUE – Josephine, 97, on October 24, 2022, the last of her generation of Siricos. She was born in Ozone Park, Queens, where she met her predeceased husband of nearly 70 years, and together they entertained friends and family frequently. She was a long time and well-loved resident of N. Bellmore. She was a Rosie the Riveter type who supported her country while her husband served in WWII.  She then worked in Defense Electronics as a Prototype Wirer, and helped build ships and cockpits for the Navy as well as  Apollo One for NASA. Beloved wife of the late Eugene.  Loving mother of Diane De-Alba (William) and Al (Kathy).  Cherished grandmother of Kelly, Kristin & Kerry.  Adored great grandmother of 7.  Dear sister of Carmela Marinacci. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reposing Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 5-9 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, NY (2 Traffic Lts. East of Rte. 135).  Mass of Christian Burial Friday, November 4, 2022, 10:45 AM at St. Raphael R.C. Church in East Meadow.  Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery.  Donations may be made in Josephine’s memory to the Alzheimers Foundation at www.alz.org or a charity of your choice.
