Joseph J. Scalero 1958-2024

Joseph J. Scalero, 66, of Baldwin, NY, died of Vascular Dementia on August 24, 2024.

He was born in Oceanside, NY in 1958 to Joseph and Mary and younger brother of Ann Marie. Joseph attended school in Oceanside before beginning work as a landscaper & with the Village of Garden City.

Everyone who knew Joseph knew how much he enjoyed spending time in Pennsylvania, golfing, fishing, and working in his garden.

Joseph will always be remembered for his generosity and willingness to lend a hand.  We’ll always remember his favorite phrase “they don’t make them like me anymore. When they made me, they broke the mold.”   Joseph’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary and is survived by his wife, Terri, his sons, Michael and Daniel, his daughters-in-law, Cara & Colleen, his grandchildren, his sister, Ann Marie, his brother-in-law, Kenneth, his nieces and their families, and many other beloved family members and friends.

Visitation: Thursday, August 29th 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, August 30th  9:45am
