Joseph J. Cannizzaro, Sr., 77, of Seaford, NY, passed away at his home on May 9, 2022.

Joe was born on May 23, 1944. In 1965, Joe married the love of his life, Catherine (nee Reres), and together they had three children Joseph Jr. (Donna), Robert (June) and Barbara (Emanuel).

After proud service in the United States Air Force, he became a member of the New York Police Department serving for many years in the NYPD Harbor Unit.

A serial entrepreneur, Joe owned several successful businesses, and after retirement from the police force, owned Brooklyn Harley Davidson in Brooklyn, NY, where he considered his customers among his many friends.

Joe lived life to its fullest and was most at peace enjoying time boating with Cathy and his family on the South Shore of Long Island. He was also passionate about classic cars and he and Cathy spent the last 20 years showing a 1934 Lincoln KA convertible.

In addition to his wife, children and their spouses, Joe is survived by his grandchildren Steven (Jessica), Nicole, Joseph III, Christopher and Catherine, as well as 3 great grandchildren Jordana, Natalia and Avalina.

Visitation Wednesday, May 11th 7-9 PM & Thursday, May 12th 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, May 13th 9:30 AM

St. William the Abbot RC Church, Seaford, NY.

Interment to follow St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
