James J. O'Donnell

James J. O'Donnell passed away on February 3, 2023, of Seaford, NY.  Beloved husband of Jeanne for 63 years.  Loving Father of James Jr., Edward (Maureen), Joni (George) and Terrence.  Proud Grandfather of Jeanne, Thomas, Eddie Jr., Christine, Patrick (Lisandra), Erin, Samantha & Lauren.  Dear brother of Sr. Kathleen, Eileen Parsons (the late Dan), the late Tom (Kathie) and the late Mary Rease (Bill).  Proud US Navy Korean War Veteran. Jim had a long and successful career on Wall Street, including being one of the authors and designers of the Series 7 Exam, the required entrance examination for all brokerage professionals. Later in his career he worked in numerous countries around the world as a consultant helping create their regulatory entrance requirements. At home, Jim was a very active member of the Seaford Community for over 60 years, including serving as President of the Board of Education & the Seaford Lions Club and many years as a Coach for the L.I. Broncos & Seaford Little League.  Reposing Wednesday, February 8, 2023, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, NY.  Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, February 9, 2023, 9:30 AM at St. William the Abbot RC Church, Seaford. *The mass is going to be livestreamed and can be viewed by logging onto stwilliam.org.  Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.  Donations in Jim's memory may be made to the following organizations:
