Frank J. Urgo

Frank John Urgo (1938-2026) passed away on January 9, 2026 at his home in Lido Beach, New York.

Frank attended Brooklyn Technical High School before joining the United States Army. He served as an MP and a cook. Upon his return he married Harriet Jacovino his teenage sweetheart from Whitestone. Together they raised two children, Caroline and Christopher. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering at City College while working as a draftsman at Bulova and went on to work at Russell Associates.

Frank loved to travel, play tennis and golf. He was well known for his gregarious and affable personality, quick wit and his humor. He loved to laugh and have fun with his children and later, his grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his wife of 63 years, Harriet; his children Caroline (John) and Christopher (Chere); and his grandchildren Jackie (Joe), John, Dylan and Liam. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Louise Urgo and his sister Angela Daffara.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12th 1-3 PM & 6-8 PM 

Religious Service will be held Monday evening at the funeral home 7PM 

Funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at the funeral home

Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park
