Edward Schiffino

February 9, 1969 — September 8, 2025

Seaford

Edward  Schiffino was born on February 9, 1969 and passed away suddenly on Monday, September 8th, 2025.
Edward always made his presence known and wherever he went people remembered him.    He had a way of lighting up any room he was in.  Known by all for his witty and sometimes irreverent sense of humor, generosity and love of life.     He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.  Whether in a meeting, social occasion or at home if Edward was there, laughter was sure to follow. He brought so much joy into everyone’s life particularly his long- time partner Carolyne.  He was unconventional, creative and remembered by all as one of the smartest people they had ever met.  He had an overwhelming generosity.  He always took the time to help someone, no matter how he felt.  The void he leaves behind is large but we will continue to cherish his memory and the memories he has given us forever.   To those who knew him well, and even those who didn’t, Edward says  “Arriba, Abajo, al Centro y  Adentro,   have one on me!
Beginning his life in the United States, he then moved to Peru in his teens where he attended High School at Peruano Britanico in Lima Peru.  He lived there for ten years where he became fluent in Spanish as well as close with his mother’s extended family.  He attended University of Lima, majoring in computer science.  Later, while in Peru he taught  English at El Instituto de idiomas de la Pontifica Catolica.
He returned to the United States in 1989 where he attended Queens College.  During this period he began his career at Radio City Music Hall where he ultimately ended up working in the Concerts division.   It was during this time he met Carolyne, a relationship that began as a friendship and blossomed into a love that would last for the rest of his life.  They shared many adventures together most recently in Maine where the hunt for the “perfect” house continued.
When he left Radio City he chose a different career path, working for Tzell Travel where his technology talents were quickly recognised.   Starting as an IT tech, he rose rapidly to Director and at the time of his passing Vice President of Global Technology for a now larger company under the banner of Internova.
He leaves behind his partner of over 30 years Carolyne Eisgrau, his two beloved dogs, Lola and Brandy, his sister Julieta and her partner Nabil Ben Saad, brother Silvio Schiffino and wife Anita, niece Andrea Schiffino and mother Norma Schiffino.
To all again Arriba, Abajo, al Centro y Adentro… Enjoy Life.
