McGRANE – Edward J., born October 28, 1931, died July 12, 2012 at 7:20 am, surrounded by his family. Seventeen year resident of Florida , previously residing in Massapequa , N.Y. Edward was a retired N.Y. City Police Detective. He is survived by his beloved wife Ann and his four children; Mary, Patricia, Ann and Edward. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren; Michael, Conor, and Christian. Memorial Visitation Friday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, N.Y. (2 Traffic Lts. East of Route 135) Religious Service 8:30 PM. Cremation was private.
