KERN – Edward L., 91, of Seaford, passed away on October 13, 2018. Proud United States WWII Army Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marilyn. Loving father of Edward (Kathy), Kevin (Kathy), Erin (Mike), and Kathy (Ray). Cherished grandfather of 12 and adored great grandfather of 13. Reposing Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford (2 Traffic Lts. East of Rte. 135). Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 AM at St. William the Abbot R.C. Church, Seaford. Interment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Retired Sisters Fund, The Sisters of Saint Dominic, Queen of The Rosary Mother House, 555 Albany Avenue, Amityville, NY 11701.
