Diana M. Coyne, 88, of Massapequa, NY, passed away peacefully on June 11th, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Diana was born in Jackson Heights, NY to her parents, the late Francis and Mary Morea. She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Angela (Ang) Katz and Marjorie (Margie) Rischman, Husband James Coyne Sr. and much beloved son, John Coyne. Diana was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother (Gram) and great grandma. She very much enjoyed being a Yankee fan, especially a Derek Jeter fan and, more recently, Aaron Judge. She was always ready for summer, where she enjoyed vacations to Montauk with her sisters and all the grandchildren. She loved pistachio ice cream from Carvel and, of course, celebrating America’s birthday. Her true love was family, though. She is survived by her children, James Coyne, Jr. (and wife, Kim), Daniel Coyne (and wife, Tami), Douglas Coyne and Caryn Mennigke (and husband, Bob). She’s also survived by her grandchildren, TJ Coyne (and wife, Alex), Dani Coyne (and wife, Cheryl), Christina Chandler (and husband, Blake), Daniel Coyne and Jake Coyne. She loved her great grandchildren, Matthew Chandler, Owen Coyne, Carly Coyne, Benjamin Coyne and Alexander Coyne. Also countless loved family members. She loved to host family at her home, which always displayed an extensive clown collection, photos of family and friends and the bowl always filled with candy.
All family and friends are encouraged to come and pay their respects and remember Diana on Monday, June 15th, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
