Who was Charles Lovascio?? Let me tell you….he was my daddy, my hero, A 13 year cancer survivor, A person who beat the odds more times than I can count and he put up such a wonderful fight. My father, someone who always bounced back and who proved Doctors wrong many times, took his last breath with me, holding his hand on Tuesday, September 25, 2025. This eulogy is about honoring the man who raised me and who had so much love for his family and friends. He was An amazing father, a loving brother, a fantastic uncle and just an awesome friend as well as great husband, and ex- husband, at that. My father was the person who protected me while I was growing up and even as a grown woman. He was a daughter’s first love, who always had my back and my best intentions at heart; the man who suffered for many years with illnesses, but never let that define him. If you knew my father, then you knew he was a fighter. He was determined and he liked to always prove people wrong, lol. The relationship I had withhim was unbelievable and one of the most special relationships I ever had with someone. I know he will always be looking down on us and he will be our angel. We are so grateful for all these memories and I am so grateful he was my father, because he was the best father that any daughter could ask for. And he would be proud to say that it wasn’t the cancer that caused his passing. In fact in August of this year 2025, we got test results that indicated he was cancer free. Unfortunately though, his body was tired and other illnesses came into play. I will forever tell his story and always share to anybody that didn’t know my daddy, about his amazing attitude and his amazing love towards his daughter, family and friends.
