Catherine P. Ahern

Catherine P. Ahern (née Ward), 95, of Seaford, NY, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Ahern. Born November 10, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished aunt.

Catherine worked for Delta Airlines and was an avid traveler with both family and friends spanning over fifty years. She lived a life filled with love and happiness. She carried herself with quiet elegance and class, yet always found the warmth and humor to bring a smile to the face of anyone she met.

She is survived by her four children, John, Patricia (Wayne), James (Aura), and Deborah; eight grandchildren, Bryan, Scott, Christopher, Keith, Lindsey, Meaghan, Caitlyn, and Breanna; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Trevor.

The world is a better place for her having been here.

Visitation Saturday, September 12th 4-8 PM & Sunday, September 13th 2-6 PM 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 14th 10:45 AM 

St. William the Abbot RC Church, Seaford, New York

Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
