Carol Calderazzo (also known as Carol Perkins) passed away on May 28, 2026 in Seaford, New York.

Carol was born in Brooklyn, New York to parents Charles and Julia Calderazzo (both deceased). She lived with her sister Joan LaSala and brother-in-law John LaSala in Seaford, New York. She deeply loved her nephew, Michael LaSala and his wife, Janine, and her niece Victoria LaSala. Julia, her great niece, brought incredible joy to Carol’s life.

Carol was married to Raymond Perkins and together they enjoyed a happy life and were dedicated to adopting cats in shelters and providing them with a loving caring home. Carol and Ray lived in Bellmore; New York then moved to Missouri where Carol lived until her beloved husband Ray passed away suddenly in 2016.

Carol graduated St. John’s University and became a Physician Assistant specializing in Interventional Cardiology. She was a highly accomplished medical professional and retired when her own medical condition made it difficult to continue working.

She was a dynamic and amazing person; she never let difficulty keep her from moving forward in life and reinventing herself. After she retired as a Physician Assistant, Carol volunteered as a Learning Leader helping children learn to read and she spent countless hours volunteering at the U.S.O. helping the men and women in our military.

Carol was devoted to her family and friends – she had great faith in God and possessed a beautiful spirit that blessed all who were fortunate to know her. She had a zest for adventure and enjoyed travelling.

She lived her life with strength and suffered many personal and physical hardships as her disease progressed, but she faced each day with a smile and the courage to live her life to the fullest.

Though Carol’s time with us was far too short, her memory and the love she showed her family and friends and all who knew her will continue to bring a smile and shine a light forever in our hearts.

We love you and miss you.
