Nabar - Annemarie, on March 18, 2018, of Massapequa. Beloved wife of the late Eugen. Loving mother of Reinhold (Cindy), Christa Nabar, Karin Tyrrell (Kevin), and Marion Nabar. Cherished grandmother of Barbara Swift, Jeanmarie Swift, Shannon Tyrrell, and Emily Tyrrell. Dear aunt of George Mohrmann and friend to all who knew her. Annemarie was a lover of life and all things therein. She bravely followed a path with husband, Eugen, from a farmhouse in Bederkesa, Germany to Hollis, Queens in 1952 and then to Massapequa in 1958. She was an AHRC pioneer, devoted volunteer and supporter since 1964. She loved children and worked for 20 years as a cafeteria and playground monitor at Unqua Elementary School in Massapequa. Until her last days, she was always a problem solver, a creative gardener and seamstress, an avid card player and sports fan, and a lover of crafts, mystery books and the natural world. She loved her family more than words can say. Her unwavering love and wisdom gave strength to them all. She was known near and far for her hospitality and loved to share about her life in the "old" country. Many hardships were met with courage and grace. She was with her family completely in mind and spirit for all her 92 years, a gift beyond measure that cannot be replaced. Reposing Friday, 3/23, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the Charles G.
